A farm club of the international media forum may appear in Novopolotsk

November 18, Novopolotsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The Republican Festival of Children's and Youth Media may be held in Novopolotsk in June 2011. The idea of its holding was born today at a reception of citizens, which was held at the public reception of the Novopolotsk city organization "Belaya Rus" by the Minister of Information of Belarus Oleg Proleskovsky, BELTA correspondent reports. Natalia Seryakova, Director of the Novopolotsk Center for Extracurricular Activities, spoke about the center's children's TV studio, which produces popular programs for the local TV channel, and asked for support in holding the regional festival of children's and youth media. The initiative was immediately supported by the minister, who suggested holding a republican festival in Novopolotsk with an invitation to talented young people from Russia, Ukraine, and the Baltic countries, who are our closest neighbors. The Ministry of Information expects support for this proposal from the Ministry of Education, and the public organizations BRSM and "Belaya Rus". According to Oleg Proleskovsky, the children's media festival can grow into a children's media forum. "We held a decent international media forum this year, why not create its farm club," the minister added. June 2011 has been named as a possible date for the Republican Festival of Children's and Youth Media. -0-
