The "Dnieper Stars" festival in Orsha will receive funding from the Union State

The "Dnieper Stars" festival will be funded from the Union budget. This was announced today at a meeting of the Commission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia on Budget and Finance by Deputy Chairperson Lyudmila Dobrynina.

Last year, in March, a similar meeting on regional cooperation was held in Orsha. Then the commission received proposals for financing a number of projects from the budget of the Union State, including the "Dnieper Stars" festival.

– A decision has been made on its financing. 3.5 million Russian rubles will be allocated from the budget of the Union State for the forum in 2019, – said Lyudmila Dobrynina.

– All proposals submitted to the commission are carefully considered, and the most relevant ones receive support, – added the Deputy Chairperson of the commission.

As noted in the Orsha District Executive Committee, the "Dnieper Stars" festival is designed to unite the creative youth of Orsha and Smolensk, between whom close partnership relations have long been established in various areas of cooperation. The cultural event of the cities is planned to be held alternately. Orsha intends to host it first in 2019.
