The "Gorodok Parnas" festival will be held in Gorodok on June 5

This forum is a large-scale branded event of the district, held in honor of the local poet Konstantin Verenitsyn, the author of the Belarusian work "Taras on Parnassus."

This year, for the first time, the "Zemlyak Goda" (Countryman of the Year) award, established by the district executive committee, will be presented.

For the first time, the "Vlastelin Lesa" (Lord of the Forest) competition will be held, as the professional activities of the main character of the poem "Taras on Parnassus" were connected with the forest.

Traditionally, the district competition among folk craftsmen "Ci znal kto z vas, bratki, Tarasa?" (Did any of you, brothers, know Taras?) will take place.

Teams of labor collectives will compete in cooking ukha (fish soup) in the "Yushka dlya Tarasa" (Ukha for Taras) competition.

The most agile and athletic participants of the festival will overcome an obstacle course on the interactive "Tarasavy zabegi" (Taras's Runs) площадка.

As part of the celebration, the poetic площадка "Verenitsynskaya zorka" (Verenitsyn's Star) will be open.
