The 'Art Parade' festival-competition has started in Vitebsk
The online format of the festival attracted participants from Malta, Bulgaria, Uzbekistan, Israel, the USA, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Italy, Estonia, and China. The competition jury consists of experts from Belarus, Russia, Latvia, Georgia, Italy, Slovakia, and the People's Republic of China.
People's Artist of Russia, Nadezhda Krygina, noted that talents always find their way. She shared her thoughts on the festival.
– Any competition gains popularity over time. The first year might be less noticeable, but with each new festival, the level of participants grows. We have already seen interesting discoveries in the past and the year before last, and I am confident that this year we will meet new talents, – said Nadezhda Krygina.
The artist also spoke about her criteria for evaluating the contestants' performances.
– The stage image of the performer is important to me. I observe how the artist interacts with the audience and what emotion they convey. Interpretation and delivery are key aspects, – she added.
Nadezhda Krygina also offered advice for aspiring artists.
– Nervousness is natural. Even with many years of experience, I sometimes feel a tremor before a performance. The main thing is not to let nervousness paralyze you. It's normal to be nervous, but it's important that it doesn't turn into fear, – she emphasized.
The artist wished all participants good luck and noted that even if someone doesn't win a prize, it's not a reason for disappointment.
– Every competition is a step towards success. The main thing is that young performers continue to develop and do not lose touch with art, whether it be music, dance, or theater. This will always stay with them and help them in life, — concluded Nadezhda Krygina.
Alexander Zenchenko, artistic director of the Alexis dance theater and a member of the competition jury, also shared his impressions of the festival.
– I am pleased that I have been present here since its opening. In the first year, the festival was more entertainment-oriented, and the participants were just beginning to master the format. However, today it is a full-fledged competitive project that attracts talented groups and outstanding vocalists ready to fight for the title of the best. It is a kind of real "Slavic Bazaar in Winter" for children. I wish everyone good luck and will closely follow the performances. I admit, it will not be easy to choose among such talents, and the evaluation criteria will be very strict, – noted Alexander Zenchenko.
Ma Zhaohan, a participant from China, shared her expectations from participating in the festival, noting that this is her first experience at such a large-scale event.
– I am very glad for the opportunity to participate in this festival. It feels like the competition is serious and of a high level, and we are especially pleased to be part of such an event and learn something new, – she said.
Her compatriot Yang Junzhou also expressed gratitude for participating in the festival.
– It is a great honor for me. Vocal teachers from VSU named after P. Masherov, where I am doing my master's degree, helped me in my preparation. This festival gives me the opportunity not only to develop as an artist but also to make new friends in Belarus and get acquainted with their work, – he added.
Both participants emphasized the importance of cultural exchange and the opportunity to broaden their horizons through art.
The colorful performance "Miracles Without Magic" on the stage of the concert hall became a good gift for the competition participants.
