The "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" festival needs to look for new directors - Vladimir Karachevsky

July 11, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" arts festival needs to find new directors. This point of view was expressed today at a press conference dedicated to Belarus Day at the festival by Vladimir Karachevsky, First Deputy Minister of Culture of Belarus. In his opinion, the traditional structure of the festival, with the Days of National Cultures of Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine, and competitions for young performers, should be preserved. Changes may concern a new vision of gala concerts, solo concerts, and inviting new names, and only new directors are capable of doing this. "It is necessary to find new people who are ready to offer fresh ideas and look at the organization of the event in a different way," believes the First Deputy Minister. The festival directorate is capable of implementing any ideas; the "Vitebsk" Cultural Center has contacts and the opportunity to invite any artists. "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" was, is, and will be. It is interesting, it is needed, it discovers new names and gives people a start in life," said Vladimir Karachevsky. -0-
