Vitebsk festival sites are ready for the "Slavianski Bazaar" - Ministry of Emergency Situations

Festival venues in Vitebsk are ready for events and welcoming guests of the "Slavianski Bazaar", reported the press secretary of the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Marina Fando, to a BELTA correspondent. A check on compliance with fire safety measures at the facilities of the regional center involved in the international arts festival took place at the beginning of the month. During the inspection, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations surveyed over 60 venues with mass gatherings of people, including the railway station, the Summer Amphitheater, museums, hotels, dormitories, cafes, and restaurants in the city. To ensure fire safety, the heads of many enterprises and organizations took care of compliance with established norms in advance. At the same time, according to the results of the inspection, over 300 violations were identified, and a number of managers were brought to administrative responsibility. Currently, almost all violations have been rectified. However, control checks on the implementation of the instructions of the state fire supervision inspectors will be carried out until the start of the "Slavianski Bazaar". Marina Fando also noted that to ensure fire safety in the places where festival participants are accommodated and reside, round-the-clock duty of the Ministry of Emergency Situations employees will be organized during the forum.
