The funding for the entrepreneurship support program in the Vitebsk region will increase to Br8 billion in 2011.

November 24, Vitebsk / Sergei Kochetov - BELTA /. Financing of the entrepreneurship support program in the Vitebsk region is planned to be increased to Br8 billion in 2011. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by Oleg Matskevich, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee. Currently, the development of a document is being completed in the region, which will be submitted for approval to the session of the Regional Council of Deputies. A distinctive feature of the 2011 program will be a significant increase in financial support for the development of the non-state sector of the region's economy. "If in previous years no more than Br300 million was allocated for entrepreneurship support, then the draft program for 2011 for the first time provides for a several-fold increase in budget funds for these purposes," Oleg Matskevich emphasized. One of the significant measures of the program will be the construction of a large business center in Vitebsk. It is assumed that it will house office and administrative premises, as well as a small business incubator, and other entities of the infrastructure for supporting the development of the non-state sector. The center is intended to become a venue for exhibitions, economic forums, specialized seminars and conferences. "The draft program for entrepreneurship support for 2011 provides for financing the development of design and estimate documentation for the business center, the construction of which is planned to be completed in 2012," Oleg Matskevich added. In addition, the draft document provides for financing entities of the entrepreneurship support infrastructure, microcrediting of investment projects of small businesses, and a number of other measures aimed at expanding the infrastructure for supporting private initiative and improving the information support for the business community. -0-
