Finnish classical romances will be heard for the first time at the I. Sollertinsky Festival in Vitebsk

Solertinsky International Music Festival, which is currently taking place in Vitebsk. Today, the vocal music concert with the participation of Finnish singer Sini Tuomisalo will be held at the music forum, the artistic director of the regional philharmonic society, Nelly Matsaberidze, told a BELTA correspondent. Vitebsk classical music fans will get acquainted with the musical culture of this northern country for the first time. The concert on the Vitebsk stage will also be the first performance in Belarus for Sini Tuomisalo. She received a classical education in vocal performance at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory, worked at the Finnish School and the Finnish Music Institute in St. Petersburg, where she also recorded her third album "Songs of Arno Babajanyan". The singer actively tours in Western European countries and Russia. For the Vitebsk festival, Sini Tuomisalo has prepared a program consisting of Finnish classical romances, as well as ancient Russian romances by Mikhail Glinka, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Alexander Dargomyzhsky, and songs by Mikael Tariverdiev to the poems of Marina Tsvetaeva. The concert will feature laureate of international competitions Yana Grankvist (St. Petersburg). In addition to classical music, Sini Tuomisalo is known in Finland as the founder of the group Blue Bossa, which performs bossa nova and jazz. Therefore, Vitebsk audiences can expect surprises during the evening concert. The XXII I. Solertinsky International Music Festival is being held in Vitebsk from December 2 to 22 with the participation of musicians from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, the USA, France, Israel, Finland, and Venezuela. In total, the festival program includes 10 concert programs, as well as the XII Scientific Readings of the I. Solertinsky Festival and the XX International Chagall Readings. The organizers of the I.
