The Peace Fund and the Red Cross are helping medics in the Vitebsk region in the fight against coronavirus
Thus, the Vitebsk regional branch of the Belarusian Peace Fund allocated another 9 thousand rubles to the region's medical institutions. Recall that before that, peacekeepers sent 3 thousand rubles to purchase protective equipment for the staff of the regional infectious disease hospital. This time, they helped the teams of the Beshenkovichi, Miory and Braslav central district hospitals to purchase similar items.
An oxygen concentrator, necessary for severely ill patients with pneumonia, was purchased for the Dokshitsy Central District Hospital, and sprayers for processing special medical equipment were purchased for the Rosson Central District Hospital. Financial assistance was provided to the resuscitation and intensive care service in Glubokoye and Postavy.
The total amount of transferred funds amounted to 12 thousand rubles, and this support will continue.
The regional organization of the Belarusian Red Cross Society handed over respirators to medical workers in Novopolotsk, Rossony, the Kalinin Vitebsk polyclinic subordinate to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as sets of individual protective capes-gowns to Miory, Gorodok, Beshenkovichi and Novopolotsk.
Currently, the issue of delivering drinking water for patients and staff of healthcare institutions and organizing meals for medical workers is being resolved.
The Red Cross also helps other services that actively work with the public with personal protective equipment. In particular, it provided territorial centers for social services with hand sanitizers and gloves, and the traffic police post service with respirators.
