The Vitebskoblimushchestvo Fund is organizing a competition for the sale of an enterprise as a single complex for the first time

The "Vitebskoblimushchestvo" Foundation will for the first time organize the privatization of a loss-making public utility enterprise through its competitive sale as a single property complex. The competition, which will be held on June 30, will feature the public utility enterprise "Rossonsky Industrial Goods Plant" (Rossonsky IPT), the Foundation informed BELTA correspondent. The enterprise's property complex includes seven buildings and structures with a total area of over 3.3 thousand sq.m, built in the late 1970s. The lot also includes the right to a 10-year lease of a land plot of 1.6 hectares. The starting price for the competitive bidding is set at almost Br58 million. Potential participants in the competition are obliged to submit an investment project for organizing commercial activities on the production base of Rossonsky IPT, providing for the creation of 30 jobs by the end of 2012, as well as the repayment of the enterprise's outstanding obligations. When determining the winner, priority conditions will be the highest proposed price and the compliance of the investment project with the competition terms. As of January 1, 2010, the estimated value of the fixed assets of Rossonsky IPT is over Br686 million, and the total amount of liabilities exceeds Br472.5 million. The enterprise specializes in the production of ready-made textile products (except clothing), as well as joinery products. The amount of losses for 2009 exceeded Br103.6 million. The competition for the sale of the property complex of the loss-making enterprise is organized in accordance with Decree No. 113 of February 25, 2008. This year, the "Vitebskoblimushchestvo" Foundation plans to privatize another public utility enterprise in a similar way. -0-
