The format of public reception offices will raise the level of citizens' political culture - Gennady Egorov
"During the dialogue platforms held in the region, initiatives to involve regional legislative and executive authorities more actively, and to more actively involve local authorities in solving issues of the social sphere, economic and youth policy, have been repeatedly voiced. Therefore, such a form as public reception offices will undoubtedly enhance the level of society's political culture," noted Gennady Egorov.
The head of the department is convinced that this form of dialogue with the population will be in demand. Today, for example, a teacher from one of the city's schools pointed out the need to improve the quality of education by reducing the number of students in a class. Another experienced teacher, a representative of the Belarusian Women's Union, raised the issue of strengthening the institution of the family in raising children and enhancing the role of fathers. A member of the regional Officers' Union appealed with proposals to develop a state program for the patriotic education of youth and to change the parliamentary election system.
"All the initiatives mentioned will be summarized, systematized, and then sent to the organizing committee of the Sixth All-Belarusian People's Assembly," added Gennady Egorov.
In Vitebsk, the regional public reception office is located in the House of Press (Gogol St., 17, first floor, assembly hall). The city public reception office has also opened on the same site. They will receive citizens twice a week – on Wednesdays and Fridays.
In the Vitebsk region, since November 11, public reception offices have been organized in each district. Reception is carried out with the participation of representatives of authorities, the deputy corps, and public organizations at a time convenient for people (mainly in the evening hours from 16:00 to 20:00), observing the requirements of a barrier-free environment and anti-epidemic measures. Schedules and operating hours are posted on the websites of city and district executive committees, in regional print publications, and in the regional newspaper "Vitebskiye Vesti".
