Important discussions and decisions concerning the future of Belarus have resonated with students and faculty.
The young people have attentively absorbed the theses not only of nationwide importance but also those relevant to their field. The youth are ready to embrace the challenges of the future and contribute to the country's development.
– Today and tomorrow, a significant event for our country is taking place in Minsk – the VII All-Belarusian People's Assembly, with the motto: "Time Has Chosen Us!", shared Svetlana Kostyukova, Vice-Rector for Educational Work at VSU. – The new edition of the Basic Law of the Republic of Belarus enshrines the constitutional status of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly as the supreme representative body of people's power.
She emphasized that observing the work of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly since 1996, one can conclude that only this body is capable of uniting all political forces: the government and civil society.
– The All-Belarusian People's Assembly will provide an opportunity for the people of our country to participate in the discussion and resolution of issues that are fateful and historically important for Belarus, Svetlana Kostyukova continued. – The delegates of the seventh All-Belarusian People's Assembly are patriots of our Motherland, ready to express their opinions and defend their positions in resolving issues in favor of the people. We are proud that among the delegates of the VII All-Belarusian People's Assembly is the Rector of VSU, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Deputy of the Regional Council, member of the Supreme Political Council of the Belarusian Party "Belaya Rus" Valentina Vasilyevna Bogatyreva. I am confident that the decisions adopted at the VII All-Belarusian People's Assembly will concern the development priorities of the Republic of Belarus, aimed at the prosperity of our country and all the Belarusian people.
First-year student of the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technologies, Daria Avchinnikova, noted during the live broadcast that the President speaks powerfully, concisely, emotionally, and accessibly.
– The BNS is the supreme representative body of people's power in Belarus. The delegation from the Vitebsk region included 118 people, including the rector of VSU, – said Daria. – For us, students, as the younger generation, peace and security in our country are important. Therefore, we expect the BNS to approve the Concept of National Security and the Military Doctrine, which will protect our people. The President insisted on the importance of these issues in his speeches, noting that they should be discussed at the highest level. These documents play a key role in ensuring the security of our country and in the development of the Belarusian Armed Forces.
First-year student of the Faculty of Law, Anton Bulynya, noted that the youth expects the BNS meeting, which, by the way, is the first in the new constitutional status of this body, to define the strategic direction of the state and the vectors of development for a sovereign and independent Belarus.
– In anticipation of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly, informational and curator hours, dialogue platforms, and quizzes dedicated to the BNS were held at our university. And it was the students who were active participants in all these events, – said Anton Bulynya. – By the way, I developed a quiz about the All-Belarusian People's Assembly, thanks to which we not only demonstrated our knowledge and attentiveness but also consolidated our understanding of the supreme representative body of people's power. The winners were awarded prizes.
