A meeting of Section No. 9 "Cultural and Humanitarian Cooperation and Tourism Development as a Factor in Strengthening Interaction between Regions of Belarus and Russia" is being held at the Museum of Belarusian Book Printing.
Participants include parliamentarians, heads of state bodies, representatives of local authorities, academia, directors of industrial enterprises, and associations. Dmitry Baskov, Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic for Education, Science, Culture, and Social Development, is moderating from the Belarusian side, and Ekaterina Altabaeva, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Science, Education, and Culture, is moderating from the Russian side.
The first speaker was the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, Anatoly Markevich.
