The French delegation will get acquainted with the development of agricultural production and education in the Vitebsk region

April 15, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. A delegation from the French city of Chauffailles will learn about the development of agricultural production and education in the Vitebsk region. Friends from the partner city will be hosted by Novopolotsk from April 16 to 22, Vyacheslav Durnov, Deputy Chairman of the Novopolotsk City Executive Committee, told a BELTA correspondent. An agreement on cooperation in economic, cultural, and social spheres has been signed between the French city and the oil city. This time, the friendly delegation, which will include specialists in the agricultural sector, will learn about the organization of agricultural production using the example of SPC "Mayak-Braslavsky" (Braslav district) and will visit an agro-ecotourism estate. The visit program also includes visits to general education institutions in Novopolotsk and familiarization with pedagogical innovations that Novopolotsk teachers are actively implementing in the school process. They will share with their foreign colleagues teaching methods for the French language and experience in using IT technologies in lessons on general subjects. Guests will see how extracurricular activities and teaching children decorative and applied arts are organized. Teachers from the city's extracurricular activities center will conduct a master class for their colleagues. The signing of a cooperation program for 2011-2012 between the Novopolotsk bilingual gymnasium and the educational institutions of Chauffailles is expected. Based on the results of meetings between the leadership of Novopolotsk and the Deputy Mayor of Chauffailles, a strategy for further establishing contacts in the economic sphere will be developed. -0-
