The "Appleart" project for creating fruit panels will be implemented in Polotsk on the Apple Spas holiday on August 19, a correspondent was informed by BELTA in the Polotsk District Executive Committee.

Teams participating in the project will create panels and art objects made of apples and in the shape of apples. Each team will have to complete their creation within the allotted time, come up with a name for it, and present it. Anyone can take part in the art competition, and the fruit art pieces will decorate the area near the Holy Protection Church for a week after the holiday.

"Appleart" is not the only event planned for Apple Spas in Polotsk. A district festival "Apple Spas at the Holy Protection Church in Polotsk" will be organized in the ancient city. The consecration of new harvest fruits will take place, and there will be a sale of fruit and berry products, apple pastries, juices, tastings, and culinary master classes on preparing apple desserts, salads, charlotte and other pies, apple cake, duck with apples, and pickled apples with a presentation of the finished products.

Organizers will offer festival guests the opportunity to participate in the "Largest Apple," "Tastiest Apple," and "Greatest Variety" contests (winners will receive a gift from KUP "Polotsk-torg" - an apple delicacy "Charlotte"). A family photo project "The Apple Never Falls Far from the Tree..." is also planned – a photo session for parents and children will be held in the city park of culture and recreation. Everyone can take part in creating the "Polotsk Big Apple Recipe Book 'Applerecipes'," which will be kept in the Polotsk Library and updated annually with new recipes.

The apple festival program also includes the fun sports project "Applemilitaryholiday," which features apple shooting, an apple-eating contest for the fastest eater, an apple craft competition, and a contest for carving the longest apple peel. The "Garden Literacy" project offers Q&A, tips, and recommendations on growing, caring for, fertilizing, and watering fruit trees, fruit storage, and much more. The "Apple and Art" project will help you learn about works of art that mention apples.

Craftspeople, artists in decorative and applied arts, representatives of rural councils of the Polotsk district, educational, cultural, and sports institutions, the Polotsk veterans' organization, and the Department of Labor, Employment, and Social Protection of the Polotsk District Executive Committee will take part in the festival.
