Football and water skiing. Several sports competitions will be held in Braslav as part of "Dazhynki-2019".
As emphasized by the Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies, Vladimir Terentyev, the organizers of the festival in Braslav have tried to bring together the best creative forces of the Vitebsk region, whose skills and talents are recognized far beyond the northern region. For example, eight main venues will be organized for athletes.
Water skiers, representatives of one of the strongest water sports schools in the world, Novopolotsk Children and Youth Sports School No. 3 named after N. Genov, will perform for the participants and guests of "Dazhynki". Athletes from the local sailing school will demonstrate their skills on the water surface of the famous Braslav lakes. DOSAAF trainees from Novopolotsk will play a motor-ball match. Fans of the most popular team sport will also have something to evaluate and be surprised by. For the first time, a friendly football match has been included in the program of the regional festival of agricultural workers: women's teams from Braslav and Miory districts will take to the field.
Traditionally, among the events that resonate with the main theme of the festival, the demonstration of modern agricultural machinery stands out. According to the Chairman of the Committee for Agriculture and Food of the Regional Executive Committee, Mikhail Pridibailo, 30 units of the latest machinery of world and domestic production, including from Vitebsk enterprises, will be presented in Braslav.
— In modern conditions, high-performance machinery allows us to fulfill production plans and ensure the required level of work quality, while leveling the shortage of specialists in rural areas. We will show the machines and units that we focus on when updating the machine and tractor fleet to increase the productivity of agricultural labor, — noted Mikhail Pridibailo.
Among the exhibits will be samples of products from JSC "Vitebsk Motor Repair Plant". This includes, for example, a modified sample of a universal grain and seed mounted seeder with a working width of 4 m. Guests of Braslav will be able to appreciate the ADS-6 soil cultivation unit, which allows for five operations in one pass. In general, Vitebsk agrarians pay great attention to this area of field work.
— Many people say that the culture of farming has become more noticeable in the fields, which undoubtedly affects crop yields. As a consequence of adhering to all technological requirements, despite the difficult weather conditions, the agrarians of the Vitebsk region ensured a gross grain harvest of approximately 200 thousand tons more than in 2018, — emphasized Mikhail Pridibaylo.
