As part of the month dedicated to Knowledge Day, prevention and warning of child road traffic injuries, a special set of measures "Attention - Children!" is being held in the country until September 6.

As practice shows, the main part of accidents involving minors occurs during the holidays. Thus, in July, a 4-year-old girl died under the wheels of a foreign car in the Sharkovshchyna district. A month later, in the Lepel district, the driver of a KIA car hit a young cyclist who suddenly rode onto the roadway. The 9-year-old boy died at the scene. On August 17, due to the fault of a 27-year-old driver, who was deprived of his driver's license for driving while intoxicated, a 15-year-old passenger died in the Orsha district.

The State Automobile Inspectorate calls on everyone to take an active part in the month-long campaign. Remember that in accordance with paragraphs 166 and 166.9 of the Traffic Regulations, during daylight hours, the low beam headlights or daytime running lights must be switched on to mark a moving vehicle during the period of special comprehensive measures to ensure road traffic safety carried out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.
