Gazprom will hold the final of the corporate festival in the capital of the "Slavianski Bazaar"

OAO Gazprom has chosen Vitebsk as the venue for the final of the next corporate festival of amateur creative groups and performers of subsidiaries and organizations "Fakel". This was announced today at a working meeting on the development of the regional center by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Kosinets, reports a BELTA correspondent. The festival is expected to take place in the third decade of May 2013. Along with the competition program, in which amateur groups of the gas giant's enterprises will take part, famous Russian performers will perform as guests. The festival organizers promise that concerts with their participation, planned for Victory Square, will be free for the city residents. In addition, OAO Gazprom is preparing a very necessary and expensive gift for the festival Vitebsk - a modern mobile stage platform. The corporate festival "Fakel" is held once every two years according to a three-level scheme. Therefore, the best of the best amateur artists, who have passed the competitive selection at their enterprises and won in the zonal tours, will come to Vitebsk for the competition. The first corporate festival "Fakel" was held in 2004-2005. The festival jury includes famous figures of art and culture of Russia. The competition is held in three age categories: from 5 to 10 years old, from 11 to 16 years old inclusive, and from 17 years and older. The festival program includes: vocals (folk, pop, classical, jazz), choreography (folk, pop, ballroom, classical), vocal-instrumental and instrumental ensembles, pop-circus and original genre, folklore. As explained to a BELTA correspondent by the directorate of the Vitebsk Culture Center, the traditional venue for the Gazprom festival for several years was Gelendzhik. However, having visited Vitebsk on the eve of preparation for the "Slavianski Bazaar" festival, and then at the festival itself, the organizers of "Fakel" were impressed by the scale of the organization and decided that the final of the anniversary V festival "Fakel" would be held in the capital of "Slavianski Bazaar" at its main concert venues - in the Summer Amphitheater and in the Vitebsk Concert Hall.
