Head of the Presidential Administration Igor Sergeenko took part in a meeting of the Postavy District Executive Committee
In Postavy today, the implementation of state information policy and work with young specialists are being discussed. The meeting is attended by Head of the Presidential Administration Igor Sergeenko, Aide to the President - Inspector for the Vitebsk Region Igor Brylo, Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Vyacheslav Durnov. Heads of industrial and agricultural enterprises, school principals, village council chairmen, and personnel and ideological department employees have also been invited.
Organizations in the Postavy district annually hire about 100 young specialists.
"Thanks to the work being done to attract, adapt, and retain young specialists, enterprises and organizations in the Postavy district hire about 100 people annually. This year, 88 young specialists have arrived in our district," said Stanislav Chimburg, Deputy Chairman of the Postavy District Executive Committee.
The young specialists database in the district includes over 170 people, more than 130 of whom are natives of the Postavy district. "All young specialists are provided with housing: they are given dormitories, rental housing, or they live with their parents," explained the deputy chairman. "Collective agreements of organizations provide for material incentives. This includes lump-sum payments, establishment of bonuses and allowances, paid social leave for exams and sessions, financial assistance for vacations, weddings, and military enlistment." As for housing, young specialists are reimbursed for accommodation expenses in private apartments and dormitories.
Young specialists returning to state organizations after compulsory military service or alternative service can expect payments of up to 10 basic units (1 BU - Br37). Enterprises assign mentors to young people. In addition, to retain specialists and workers in their positions, they are involved in various projects, meetings, competitions, and programs, including educational, sports, and cultural ones. However, despite the organized work, there are still issues with retaining such specialists in the Postavy district. For example, out of the 88 young specialists who arrived this year, 81 continue to work today.
Head of the Presidential Administration Igor Sergeenko drew attention to the issues of stimulating young people and the work being done in this direction. According to him, enterprises themselves at the local level should provide various measures to retain specialists and interest them.

Presidential Aide - Inspector for the Vitebsk Region Igor Brylo inquired whether there is actually a personnel shortage in the district or if the problem lies in the unwillingness of managers to perform their duties and their inability to clearly set tasks for them. He urged enterprises, especially in the agricultural sector, to focus on career guidance work with pupils and students, to take care of improving housing conditions for those in need, and not to skimp on bonuses for young specialists' salaries. At the same time, according to the Presidential Aide, educational institutions should combine the educational process with practical training so that students know how to work with high-performance equipment and machinery, and more.
Regional press is considered the main force in implementing state information policy. Head of the Presidential Administration Igor Sergeenko shared this opinion with journalists in Postavy.
Today, at a meeting in Postavy, current tasks for the implementation of state information policy facing district media, and the work on adaptation and retention of young specialists in district organizations were discussed.
"Both issues are highly relevant not only for Postavy region but also for the Vitebsk region and the country as a whole. We consider regional press as the main force in implementing state information policy at the local level, using the example of the Postavy district newspaper and the local TV studio, which prepares its programs, broadcasting them both in the Postavy district and throughout the Vitebsk region. It is evident that the work here is creative, and an activation is noticeable. The newspaper and the TV studio have their own identity, they are in demand (ratings confirm this - the newspaper is among the top five in the Vitebsk region), and interesting publications are featured. Perhaps there is a lack of critical, analytical materials, but overall, progress is evident, and it can be taken as a model for similar publications in other district centers of our country," noted the Head of the Presidential Administration.
According to him, media need to build a multi-level system of information work: at the republican, sectoral, and local levels of government. "In general, if we raise this issue, many regional executive committees have turned their attention to this problem. Small units have been created within the structures of ideological work departments to monitor all media related to a particular region - this is the first point. Secondly, they create their own stories and actively promote information policy in terms of propaganda and other activities to counter various destructive channels. We have such positive experience in the Gomel, Mogilev, and Vitebsk regions," said Igor Sergeenko.
