The head of the Vitebsk region presented passports to young residents of the region

Modern youth are responsible for the country's future, its successes and glory. This opinion was expressed by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, at the solemn ceremony of awarding passports to the best schoolchildren of the Vitebsk region, which traditionally takes place on the Constitution Day of the Republic of Belarus.

In a festive atmosphere, the head of the region presented 14-year-old children, who have achieved high results in education, culture, sports, and social activities, with passports of a citizen of the Republic of Belarus, the Constitution of Belarus, and the book "I am a citizen of the Republic of Belarus."

— You are bold, young, promising, and purposeful, — said the head of the region, addressing the youth. — You have many ideas and energy. It is you who will build our country further, make it happy. You are responsible for the country's future, its successes, and glory. May God grant that you succeed in everything! We, in turn, are ready to support you in every possible way in any good endeavor. I congratulate you on Constitution Day, on receiving your passport, and on entering the next, new, and very interesting stage of your life.

Among those who received their passports today is Anna Mikhailova, a student of Gymnasium No. 1 in Vitebsk named after J. Alferov. She actively participates in the gymnasium's social life and has high sports achievements. Anya admitted that receiving her passport from the hands of the head of the region was a touching event for her, which she will remember for a lifetime:

Vladimir Babichev, First Secretary of the Regional Committee of the BRSM, noted that the All-Belarusian campaign "We are Citizens of Belarus!" is designed to draw attention to such a significant event as receiving a passport of a citizen of the Republic of Belarus, and also to create conditions for giving due status and solemnity to this event.
