In Vitebsk, on the eve of the Day of Agricultural and Processing Industry Workers of the Agro-Industrial Complex, a ceremony of awarding state awards was held.

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus, for many years of fruitful work, personal contribution to the development of the agro-industrial complex and achievement of high performance, the chief agronomist of RPDUP "Tolochinsky Cannery" Tatyana Kapranova was awarded the "Order of Honor", the tractor driver-machinist of the Agricultural Production Unit "Selection and Hybrid Center "Zadneprovsky" of OJSC "Orshansky KHP" Alexander Komarov, the chief agronomist of SPC "Larinovka" of the Orsha district Alexander Kaplun, and the chairman of the Postavy District Executive Committee Sergey Chepik were awarded the medal "For Labor Merits". The Letters of Gratitude of the President of the Republic of Belarus were announced to the Deputy General Director of OJSC "Vitebsk Oblagroservis" Petr Bezzubenok and the director of OJSC "Shaiterovo" of the Verkhnedvinsk district Mikhail Gumnenkov.

The award ceremony took place on the observation deck of the "Dukhovskoy Kruglik" exhibition hall, built on the foundation of the tower of the same name of the medieval Lower Castle. Congratulating the awardees, the chairman of the regional executive committee Alexander Subbotin noted that the place was not chosen by chance, it breathes history. It was in the corner tower of the castle that all important events of the then Vitebsk were held.

Alexander Subbotin attributed the awardees to the category of workers who are called the salt of the earth and the pride of the Vitebsk region.

For example, Sergey Chepik's organizational skills made it possible to ensure the fulfillment of the main indicators of socio-economic development of the Postavy district. The head pays great attention to strengthening the material and technical base of the farms. Ambitious plans for production development have been defined.

The year was productive for Mikhail Gumnenkov, who has been heading "Shaiterovo" for 17 years. The yield of grain and leguminous crops was almost 50 c/ha, and rapeseed – about 30 c/ha, which is an excellent result for the Vitebsk region. The agricultural enterprise increased revenue from sales, net profit, and sales profitability. Special attention is paid to labor motivation and the social sphere.

Largely thanks to the efforts of Tatyana Kapranova, over 440 centners of potatoes per hectare were harvested at the Tolochin Cannery. This result made a significant contribution to the overall yield, allowing Vitebsk region to achieve the highest potato yield in the country.

Alexander Komarov, together with his assistant Alexander Skleznov, threshed almost 5.7 thousand tons of grain and rapeseed, which is an exceptional result even for the more grain-producing regions of Belarus.

SPK "Larinovka" remains the undisputed leader in the region for grain and leguminous crop yields. A significant part of this success is attributed to the chief agronomist Alexander Kaplun, who has headed the farm's service for over 20 years. Additionally, feed units for the stall period have been prepared 17% more than last year. "Larinovka" is a jewel of the Vitebsk region's agro-industrial complex, particularly in dairy farming.

Under the leadership of Petr Bezubyonok, for 16 years, the region's farms have been supplied with spare parts for agricultural machinery, and control over their repair has been carried out.

Mikhail Gumnenkov spoke on behalf of the awardees. He thanked the management for recognizing his work and expressed confidence that the team of OAO "Shaiterovo" will keep pace to improve both production and economic indicators.
