The main stage of "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" will surprise viewers with a fundamentally new solution

The main stage of the XXII International Arts Festival "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" will surprise spectators with a fundamentally new design, BELTA reports with reference to the official website of the forum.

This year, the artist-set designer, winner of the Russian National Television Award "TEFI" Alexander Kholodnov is working on the design of the main festival venue - the Summer Amphitheatre. "There were many ideas for the concept of the Summer Amphitheatre design. We chose a fundamentally new solution," he emphasized.

This year there will be very powerful computer graphics content. For this, many screens are used, which will be installed along the entire perimeter of the stage and on the ceiling. The central screen and the screens above the tiers will move, creating various effects. All this will allow the picture to be constantly changed, and will provide an opportunity to display any images, interiors, and computer graphics on the screens.

For the first time at "Slavianski Bazaar", a LED-floor podium specially developed using LED-floor technology will appear on the stage floor. This decorative element is assembled from LED cubes with a transparent top surface, on which artists and decorations can move. "The festival is a rather long distance, several concerts are held on the stage per day. Moreover, the programs are different: from ethnography to modern music. Therefore, the venue needs to be made as changeable as possible," emphasized the artist-set designer, expressing confidence that the picture that television viewers and spectators attending the Summer Amphitheatre hall will see will be interesting to both. "People sitting in the upper sectors will see the LED podium. It is very colorful. Those sitting in the stalls can observe in full color what is happening in the center of the stage. But the most spectacular perception will be for television viewers. Television has the opportunity to show what is happening on stage from different angles. Those sitting in the hall will enjoy the atmosphere of immediate presence, and television viewers will enjoy a full-color spectacular picture," noted the artist-set designer.

Alexander Kholodnov is known for projects such as the "Golden Gramophone" in the Kremlin, "Song of the Year," and "New Wave" in Jurmala, among others. He collaborates with many TV channels, notably developing the corporate identity for TV-6 and designing studios for programs of the "Vid" TV company. This will be his first time working with the Vitebsk stage.

The Summer Amphitheatre is a unique concert venue, the main stage of the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" International Arts Festival, a branch of the "Vitebsk" Cultural Center. The amphitheatre was commissioned in 1988, and a large-scale reconstruction was carried out in 2007 (a roof was built and the adjacent territory was landscaped). The stage size is 430 sq. m, with a capacity of 6.1 thousand seats, divided into 10 sectors.

This year, the forum will be held from July 11 to 15.
