On December 30, Ded Morozs in Glubokoye will compete in fancy sleigh driving

Ded Morozes from Glubokoye will compete in saving Snegurochkas and in fancy sleigh driving, the Glubokoye District Committee of the BRSM informed a BELTA correspondent. The district gathering of the main New Year's characters will take place in Glubokoye on December 30. Along with Ded Morozes and Snegurochkas, other fairy-tale characters will also come to visit, accompanying them: Snowmen, Buffoons, Devils, and Baba Yagas. A total of 20 teams, numbering about 200 people, are expected. They will march in a friendly procession along Lenin Street from September 17 Square to Central Square, where the main event will unfold. Throughout almost the entire day, the teams will take turns entertaining children and adult participants of the holiday, walking along designated routes, congratulating all the townspeople they meet on the New Year. However, the main intrigue will be the humorous competition of Ded Morozes. They will have to prove in practice that this title obliges them to a lot, because a real Ded Moroz must be kind, cheerful, witty, resourceful, and resilient. To clarify the question "Are the real heroes gathered here?", a series of tricky tasks have been prepared for the 20 bearded participants with staffs and gift bags. For example, they will have to demonstrate their skills in fancy sleigh driving with Snegurochka. When performing aerobatics, the jury and spectators will evaluate not only the speed achieved but also the safety of the Granddaughters, which they must ensure in full. In addition, to save the maidens in case of an unexpected thaw, the heroes will have to carry them in their arms from point A to point B, overcoming obstacles. The creativity and resourcefulness of Ded Morozes will be revealed through dance and song contests, and a task to create a Snowman from inflatable balloons using available improvised means. The concluding chord of the holiday will be the ceremony of lighting the main city Christmas tree, a huge round dance of spectators and fairy-tale characters, as well as a colorful fireworks display. The organizers of the event are the education and youth affairs departments of the Glubokoye District Executive Committee, and the district committee of the BRSM. -0-
