The Glubokoye cannery plans to expand its range of canned beans by the end of the year
September 7, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. OJSC "Gluboksky Cannery" plans to develop a line of bean-based canned goods, the enterprise's director Leonid Barilo told a BELTA correspondent.
The enterprise started producing bean preserves this year. Currently, there are five types of canned goods in this group: natural beans, beans in tomato sauce, with vegetables, with mushrooms, and lobio. For their production, the enterprise processes about 20 tons of raw materials monthly. However, in the coming months, this volume will increase, as the enterprise's technologists are developing three new products, pilot batches of which will appear by the end of the year.
Bean-based preserves are produced on a line for processing green peas. Their production was initiated due to the need to load equipment during the off-season. The new products were well-received by consumers, which is why the enterprise decided to develop this direction.
From January to August, the plant produced products worth Br7.8 billion. The main part of the manufactured products is sold in Belarus. About 10% of the products are exported to Russia, Turkmenistan, and Kazakhstan. These are mainly ready-to-eat meals, green peas, and juices.
The enterprise was founded in 1946. It was transformed into an OJSC in 2002. It specializes in the production of fruit and vegetable products, ready-to-eat canned meals, juices, and concentrates. The range of manufactured products includes about 70 items. The plant's production capacity is about 32 million conventional cans per year. -0-
