Glubokoye meat processing plant allocated about Br15 billion for the modernization of the primary livestock processing workshop
November 18, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. The Glubokoye Meat Processing Plant has allocated about Br15 billion this year for the modernization of the primary animal processing workshop. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the chief engineer of the enterprise, Alexander Kolontai, at the "Vitebsk Region - for a Healthy Lifestyle!" exhibition fair, which took place today in the regional center.
For the technical re-equipment of the workshop, the plant purchased lines for slaughtering cattle with a capacity of 60 heads per hour and pigs (capacity of 110 heads per hour), for processing mucous and wool by-products, and for processing pig and beef casings. It is planned to commission this equipment in December, replacing the previously used one. The implementation of the investment project is aimed at improving the quality of meat products, meeting the requirements of the Russian Technical Regulations, and increasing production volumes, Alexander Kolontai noted.
In addition, in December, the enterprise will purchase a line for packaging raw semi-finished products with a capacity of 1-1.2 tons per hour, which is planned to be launched in January 2011. This will allow the plant to start supplying semi-finished products to Russia, reducing the shipment of bone-in meat. The cost of the German equipment is Br320 million.
Investments directed to the fixed capital of the Glubokoye Meat Processing Plant will amount to Br15.8 billion this year. A significant amount of funds is also to be mastered in 2011. Thus, the enterprise plans to implement an investment project for the construction of local treatment facilities using European technologies worth Br7.5 billion and to complete the main scope of work on the reconstruction of the meat processing building. The cost of this investment project is estimated at Br17.5 billion. The launch of the facility is scheduled for 2012.
For January-October, the enterprise produced products worth Br123.9 billion, or 120.2% compared to the same period last year. The profitability of sales for nine months is 8.8%. For ten months, products worth $21.5 million were exported, which is more than double compared to the same period last year. The main part of the supplies was to Russia. Hides and skins are shipped to the CIS countries and Europe.
The Glubokoye Meat Processing Plant was founded in 1936. It was corporatized in 1997.
