JSC "Glubokoe Meat Processing Plant" invested Br4.4 billion in fixed assets in 2009, Deputy Production Director Elena Efimova told a BELTA correspondent. The main part of the funds was directed to the purchase of technological equipment for the production of sausage products. Thus, for the production of dry-cured products, additional climate chambers were purchased, the commissioning of which will allow increasing the output of this product group by almost half to 36 tons per month in 2010, as well as significantly expanding their range and improving quality. In addition, last year the meat processing plant commissioned a new unit for the sale of finished products, which allowed optimizing work with clients and business partners. In 2009, the enterprise produced products worth Br119.2 billion, which is 15.2% higher than the previous year. Exports increased by 76.1% to $12.7 million. Its share in sales volume was about 30%. The significant growth in exports is due to the broader development of the Russian market. Supplies were also carried out to Great Britain, Italy, Scotland, Moldova, Lithuania, and Estonia. The energy saving indicator was at minus 13.5%. Finished goods inventories as of January 1 of the current year amounted to 23.3% of the average monthly production volume, with a target of 30%. Glubokoe Meat Processing Plant was founded in 1936. It was corporatized in 1997. It specializes in the production of carcass meat, sausage products, and meat semi-finished products. The range includes about 250 items. The number of employees is over 620 people. The enterprise has implemented a food quality and safety management system based on risk analysis and critical control points (HACCP), an ISO 9000-2000 quality management system, and a STB 18001-2005 occupational health and safety management system. In addition, based on the results of 2007, Glubokoe Meat Processing Plant was awarded the Government of the Republic of Belarus and Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Prize for achievements in the field of quality, and was inscribed on the republican and regional Boards of Honor. For high performance results, the head of the enterprise Anatoly Duka was awarded the honorary title "Person of the Year of Vitebsk Region-2009".-0-
