Glubokoye dairy and canning plant modernizes condensed milk production

September 9, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. OJSC "Glubokoye Dairy and Canning Plant" has begun modernizing its condensed milk production, the enterprise informed a BELTA correspondent. A large-scale reconstruction will be carried out in the existing workshop, and technological equipment will be replaced. An Italian manufacturer won the tender for its supply. By the end of the year, it will supply a complex line with a capacity of 330-350 cans per minute, which will include a full production cycle of the product from container preparation to packaging. The cost of the equipment is 2 million euros. Its commissioning is scheduled for the first quarter of 2011. An important project for the enterprise this year is the ongoing reconstruction of the cold supply system with the replacement of ammonia compressors. Funds allocated for these purposes amounted to about Br3 billion. In total, for 2010, the plant intends to invest about Br15 billion in fixed capital. In January-August, the enterprise produced products worth Br148.6 billion, or 117.5% compared to the same period last year. The profitability of sales for January-July was 5.7%. Exports over seven months increased by 74%. Its share in the total sales volume was 52.3%. Supplies were made to Kazakhstan (more than 20% of the export volume), Russia, Georgia, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Moldova, and other countries. The enterprise was founded in 1966. It produces canned milk, butter, dry milk, whole milk products, casein, and hard rennet cheeses. The range of products manufactured includes more than 60 items. -0-
