Glubokoye Dairy-Canning Plant will double its investment in fixed assets in 2011

February 18, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. OJSC "Glubokoye Dairy and Canned Goods Plant" will double its investment in fixed assets in 2011, the enterprise informed a BELTA correspondent. A total of over Br50 billion will be allocated for technical re-equipment this year. The plant intends to purchase new technological equipment for its head enterprise in Glubokoye. Thus, by the end of the first half of the year, it is planned to install a line for packaging sterilized milk in Tetra-Pak cartons with a capacity of 7 thousand packages per hour and a cost of over Br8 billion. For the canning workshop, a line for packaging condensed milk in metal cans with a capacity of 300 cans per minute, and a line for the production and packaging of condensed milk with centralized washing will be purchased. The tin can production will also be modernized with the installation of new equipment. A total of over Br20 billion is planned to be allocated for these purposes. Glubokoye Dairy and Canned Goods Plant plans to implement a large project for the production of cheeses within 2011-2012 at its Braslav branch. Preparations for the reconstruction of the plant have already begun. The renovation will affect the entire branch: the boiler room, production workshops, utility rooms, refrigeration and water supply systems will be reconstructed, and heat networks will be replaced. It is planned to install two new technological lines in the workshops for the production of hard and soft cheeses with a capacity of 10 tons and about 2 tons per day, respectively. Warehouse facilities will be built for ripening and storing products. The cost of the project is over Br40 billion. More than half of these funds are to be utilized this year. In 2010, the enterprise produced products worth Br215.1 billion, or 116.5% compared to 2009. The profitability of sales was 3.4%. Exports during this period increased by 25.8% to $42.3 million. Its share in the total sales volume reached 53.7%. Supplies were made to Kazakhstan, Russia, Georgia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Moldova, and other countries. The enterprise was founded in 1966. It includes the Braslav Production Branch and the agricultural enterprise "Mnyuto". The plant produces canned milk, butter, dry milk, whole milk products, casein, and hard rennet cheeses. The range of products manufactured includes over 80 items.
