December 6, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. OJSC "Glubokoye Dairy and Canning Plant" will complete the reconstruction of the cold supply workshop in February 2011, the enterprise informed a BELTA correspondent.
The project for the reconstruction of the enterprise's cold supply has been underway since 2009. Br4.5 billion has been invested during this period. Approximately Br1 billion more is to be allocated to complete all the work. Currently, the first stage of technological equipment has been installed and commissioned, which provides chilled water to the main production workshop of the plant. The installation of chilled water supply and return lines to the skimmed milk powder workshop and the installation of the second stage equipment are underway. Thus, the new compressor workshop will replace the two previously operating ones, which supplied chilled water to different production workshops, specialists explained.
Another significant project being implemented at the plant this year is the modernization of condensed milk production. An Italian manufacturer won the tender for the supply of equipment. It is planned that a comprehensive line with a capacity of 330-350 cans per minute, including a full production cycle from container preparation to packaging, will be installed in the first half of 2011. Its cost will be 2 million euros.
In January-November, the enterprise produced products worth Br201.3 billion, or 116.9% compared to the same period last year. Sales profitability for ten months was 4.6%. Exports for this period increased by 44.3% to $36.9 million. Their share in the total sales volume was 55%. Supplies were made to Kazakhstan (more than 20% of export volume), Russia, Georgia, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Moldova, and other countries. Investments in technological re-equipment for 2010 are expected to be in the range of Br6-7 billion.
The enterprise was founded in 1966. It produces canned dairy products, butter, milk powder, whole milk products, casein, and hard rennet cheeses. The range of products manufactured includes more than 60 items. -0-
