In 2012, the Glubokoye Condensed Milk Plant invested over Br100 billion in fixed assets

Open Joint Stock Company "Glubokoe Dairy Canning Plant" invested over Br100 billion in fixed capital in 2012, the enterprise informed a BELTA correspondent.

Last year, the enterprise implemented several major investment projects. In particular, the plant allocated Br23.8 billion for a line to produce sterilized milk in aseptic brick packages of 0.5-1 l, with a capacity of 7 thousand packages per hour. As a result, 8 new jobs were created at the enterprise. More than Br27 billion was spent on the reconstruction of the cold supply system and the implementation of cogeneration equipment based on gearless gas turbine generators with a total electrical capacity of 500 kW in the boiler room. The total economic effect from the implementation of these energy-saving measures exceeded Br2.2 billion.

Significant investments - almost Br80 billion - were directed towards the reconstruction of the Braslav branch. Equipment for the production of hard cheeses, soft cream cheese, and curd creams has been fully acquired. Installation began in October 2012. The new unit is expected to start operating in the second half of 2013.

This year, the enterprise will continue its work on updating production lines, which will reduce production costs. An economic effect of Br7.3 billion is expected from a 20% reduction in metal consumption due to the acquisition of equipment for the production of tin cans with a welded seam. The new line will be installed in the middle of this year.
