The Year of Entrepreneurship will open up broad opportunities for private business in the Vitebsk region - A. Kosinets
February 16, Liozno / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The Year of Entrepreneurship will open up broad opportunities for private business in the Vitebsk region. Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Kosinets expressed confidence in this in a conversation with a BELTA correspondent.
In his opinion, the conditions created in the country for the development of private initiative, and the adopted Directive No. 4 will contribute to the fact that by the end of 2015, in the Vitebsk region alone, the number of people employed in small and medium-sized businesses will increase from 110 thousand to 200 thousand people. The share of entrepreneurs in the gross regional product will increase from 7.8% to 15% during this period. The most favorable conditions will be created for the development of entrepreneurship in the region. "Every constructive business proposal will be heard and supported," Alexander Kosinets assured. Entrepreneurs will be able to participate on equal terms in the implementation of 25 key investment programs for the region's development, and they will have the opportunity to demonstrate their enterprise in various fields: from production activities to the development of tourism infrastructure. About a hundred new enterprises and productions, created with the participation of small businesses, are planned to be opened in the region this year alone.
Great prospects for private initiative are seen in the regional center. Here, entrepreneurs are invited to participate in the development of the service sector and public catering.
In turn, the authorities will provide comprehensive support to novice entrepreneurs. A business center will be built for them in the next two years, which will house a business incubator. The Vitebsk State Technological University is ready to provide methodological assistance in doing business to novice entrepreneurs.
At the same time, the Year of Entrepreneurship requires new approaches from all economic entities, Alexander Kosinets emphasized. Non-standard ideas are expected from the design bureaus of enterprises. The practice of holding exhibitions of the best developments of scientists and engineers will continue in the region, which will attract a larger number of industrial enterprises to master them.
"The Year of Entrepreneurship will contribute to the development of business initiative, strengthen the well-being of people and the economy as a whole," Alexander Kosinets is confident. -0-
