The Year of Small Motherland is dedicated to the children's exhibition of technical creativity in Vitebsk
The exhibition features about 550 works by students from schools and the Vitebsk City Center for Additional Education of Children and Youth. These include models, technical models, architectural objects, physical devices, equipment, multimedia projects, and military-historical models. The "Steampunk" and "Corrugated Cardboard Products" sections turned out to be the most striking and informative. Traditional accompanying city events held during the exhibition include the "Eureka" scientific and technical creativity competition, the "Info-TeH" information technology competition, and the "TechnoRakurs" and "Between the Past and the Future" photography competitions. Innovations of the 47th exhibition include the Perpetum mobile scientific research competition and the "Spring in a Cardboard City" young designers competition. Participation in such an event is prestigious for students, and winning becomes an excellent incentive for further creative pursuits. For teachers and methodologists, it primarily opens up an opportunity to compare their activities with those of their colleagues and determine the prospects for further development of technical creativity. The exhibition, held in a biennial format (every 2 years), has been organized by the Vitebsk City Executive Committee and the City Center for Additional Education of Children and Youth since 1972. The exhibition can be visited until April 19.
