Vitebsk City Roads Administration checked the readiness of special equipment for snowfalls and icy conditions

Thanks to the snow that fell last week, utility services checked their preparedness for the season of snowfalls and icy conditions.

– The first snow did not cause major problems; we are ready for the coldest time of the year. Currently, we have procured 1600 tons of white salt, 3200 tons of sand and red salt mixture, and we continue to replenish our reserves, – said Sergey Shchipkovsky, Deputy Director of Vitebsk KRUP "Gordormost".

All special equipment has been repaired, and one hundred and fifty employees of "Gordormost" are ready to work around the clock if necessary, so that public transport, ambulances, and fire trucks can move freely on the roadway, and residents of the regional center can move along pedestrian crossings, sidewalks, and to bus stops.
