The city of Glubokoye will develop cooperation with Uvarovo from the Tambov region

Protocol of Intent on Cooperation signed by Glubokoye, Vitebsk region, and Uvarovo, Tambov region, Russia.

The document signing took place in Glubokoye, where events of the international festival "Cherry Festival" were held. The protocol was signed by Valentina Kobzar, Deputy Head of the Uvarovo Administration, and Iosif Pachkovsky, First Deputy Chairman of the Glubokoye District Executive Committee.

After the official ceremony, Valentina Kobzar said that Uvarovo recently held a festival similar to the one in Glubokoye. It is called the festival of folklore and folk crafts "Cherry Orchard". "We read about the festival in Glubokoye on the internet and spontaneously decided to participate in it. We got ready for the trip, traveled over 1,300 km, because this topic is very fruitful in terms of developing event tourism. Our city is historically young, and we are creating our own tourist brands," said the vice-mayor.

According to her, by signing the protocol of intent, the cities have declared firm plans to develop cooperation. "We will start with cultural exchange. For example, a platform for the Glubokoye festival can be organized at our festival, and a platform for our "Cherry Orchard" can operate in Glubokoye. Taking this theme as a basis, we will strengthen ties in education, trade, etc.," said Valentina Kobzar.

The delegation from Uvarovo brought a bright note to the festival: the women's dresses were adorned with a cherry print. "We are trying to diversify our festival and specifically for it, we sewed dresses and made jewelry. All this creates an image and distinguishes the participants and organizers of the festival," noted the Russian guest.

This year, the "Cherry Festival" in Glubokoye received the status of an international holiday, and its events were held in the district center from July 18 to 22.
