The Gorodok District Department of Internal Affairs is searching for a hooligan arsonist who wanted to take revenge on his ex-wife and burn down the house, the press service of the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations informed a BELTA correspondent today. The emergency occurred on the night of May 21-22 in Gorodok. A drunk man, in response to his ex-wife's refusal to let him into the house, doused the entrance door with flammable liquid and set it on fire. The woman, trying to escape the smoky house, received burns of degree I-II. Her skin on her arms and face was damaged by 22-25%. The roof and ceiling were damaged by fire in the house. The arsonist fled the scene of the crime. According to neighbors, quarrels had occurred in this house repeatedly. Despite the divorce, the couple lived under one roof: by court decision, one room belonged to the man. The former husband's drunken scandals forced the woman to seek help repeatedly.
