State pharmacies in the Vitebsk region have reduced the price of domestic medicines for villagers by 10%
In the Vitebsk region, pharmacies of UP "Farmatsiya" have reduced the price of domestic medicines for villagers by 10%. This was reported to the correspondent by the head of the main department for healthcare of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Yuri Derkach.
According to him, the decision to reduce prices was made in May and became possible thanks to the electronic prescription system. For two years since its introduction in the region, monitoring of medicine consumers in rural areas has been carried out: the diseases of local residents were studied, their needs for medicines required by treatment protocols were clearly defined. This information allowed for precise regulation of the volume of purchases of necessary drugs: if earlier UP "Farmatsiya" had to purchase the entire range of medicines in large quantities, now mainly drugs in demand by the population in a specific region are purchased. At the same time, 100% availability of the entire range is ensured. "With reduced costs for purchasing drugs, the enterprise "Farmatsiya" and I considered it possible to reduce the cost of domestically produced medicines by 10% for residents living in rural areas by reducing trade markups, which also include risks associated with purchasing large volumes of goods," noted Yuri Derkach.
