Госнадзор Витебской области в 2012 году предотвратил поставку некачественнной продукции на Br18 млрд

State supervision bodies of the Vitebsk region prevented the supply of substandard products worth Br18 billion in 2012, as reported to a BELTA correspondent by Oksana Murashkevich, Head of the State Supervision of Standards and Product Quality Department of the Vitebsk Center for Standardization, Metrology and Certification (Vitebsk CSMC).

According to her, the results of state supervision of standards indicate that not all economic entities comply with the mandatory requirements of standards and product certification rules, which leads to the appearance of substandard products on the consumer market. Thus, over the past year, the Vitebsk CSMC conducted 155 monitoring activities to ensure compliance with standards and the quality of products and services sold. Violations were identified in 141 of these activities.

Based on the results of state supervision, the supply of 572 batches of products not meeting the established requirements, with a total value of almost Br18 billion, was prevented. In addition, products not complying with the mandatory requirements of technical regulatory legal acts (TNLAs) were voluntarily withdrawn from sale during monitoring activities. In seven cases, the provision of services and the sale of products were prohibited until the identified violations were rectified. Orders to rectify the identified violations were issued to 187 economic entities. In accordance with the Code of Administrative Offenses of Belarus, 202 protocols were drawn up and sent to courts. The total amount of fines for cases considered as of March 11 exceeds Br172 million.

"The management of enterprises in the Vitebsk region pays significant attention to the issue of product quality, actively implements quality management systems, which yields results, and works on problem issues. At the same time, this issue does not lose its relevance," stated Oksana Murashkevich, noting that characteristic violations are identified at enterprises in all industrial sectors.
