Government bodies must stimulate the creation of high-performance jobs - Leonid Anfimov
State bodies should focus their work on stimulating the creation of high-performance jobs. This was stated to journalists by Chairman of the State Control Committee Leonid Anfimov following a visit to Modern-Expo LLC in Vitebsk.
"It is necessary to create jobs in all spheres of activity, but the main focus of state bodies should be (and the President constantly demands this from us) on stimulating the organization of high-performance jobs based on innovative technologies," emphasized the head of the control department. Belarus has everything necessary for this, and most importantly, scientific and production potential, while it is necessary to guide people who are capable and ready to create corresponding productions in the right direction. An example of such work is Vitebsk's Modern-Expo LLC, which is a division of the international holding of the same name and was established with the participation of investors from the Netherlands, Ukraine, Poland, and Belarus in the spring of 2017.
The plant specializes in the production of high-tech retail equipment, and the enterprise provides partners with comprehensive solutions in the field of retail. At this stage, retail shelving and checkout counters are produced in Vitebsk. In the future, it is planned to produce a full range of products for trade from the holding's portfolio, including parcel lockers – a multifunctional automated point for sending, storing, and issuing parcels and goods, operating around the clock. About 8 million euros have been invested solely in equipping the plant with advanced equipment, while a number of machines and production lines are unique for Belarus, and about 80% of the processes are automated. Today, more than 300 specialists work at the enterprise, and from the new year, the plant plans to switch to a three-shift mode of operation, for which an additional 100 jobs will be created. Modern-Expo LLC is a resident of the FEZ "Vitebsk".
