Guests from Russia and the Baltic countries will come to "Apple Spas" in the Sharkovshchina district

Guests from Russia, Latvia, and Lithuania will arrive for "Apple Spas" in the Sharkovshchina district of the Vitebsk region, as reported by the Sharkovshchina District Executive Committee.

The festival will be held in the village of Alashki on August 19. Since the date of the event coincides with the Orthodox holiday, the celebrations will begin with the consecration of the new harvest apples.

– We are expecting guests from neighboring countries. Creative groups from Russia, Latvia, and Lithuania will arrive, who will be direct participants in the opening of "Apple Spas," – noted the organizers.

The program includes a stylized apple wedding, an apple flash mob, and a concert by collectives from the district and the region. Master classes in weaving, sculpting, carving, and straw weaving are planned. Folk craftsmen and skilled cooks, who among other things know how to bake pancakes on a log, will demonstrate their skills. Interactive platforms will be organized – dance, theater, sports and circus, children's, etc.

On this day, the district competition "Lord of the Village" will be organized. Participants will demonstrate their rural skills (they will need to harness horses, mow grass, saw firewood, sort potatoes, etc.). In the evening, the epicenter of the celebration will shift to Sharkovshchina. A youth party "Apple Danse" with the participation of vocal and instrumental ensembles from Belarus and Latvia is planned here.

The holiday will conclude with a disco. The memorial museum of the gardener-breeder Ivan Sikora is located in Alashki. Nearby are gardens and nurseries where museum workers grow seedlings, continuing the traditions of their countryman.
