The state social policy will be aimed at an accelerated pace of income growth for the population - V.Andreychenko

April 18, Glubokoye / Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. The state social policy in Belarus will be aimed at an accelerated pace of growth in population income, Chairman of the House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko assured the employees of Open Joint Stock Company "Glubokoye Dairy and Canning Plant". Today he got acquainted with the work of the enterprise and met with the labor collective, BELTA correspondent reports. "We do not hide that the real wages of the population based on the results of the first two months of 2012 amounted to 98% compared to the same period last year. The state will do everything possible to ensure that the pace of growth in population income exceeds the pace of growth in the cost of goods and services," the speaker stated. Measures are currently being taken to increase population income and fulfill the task set by the head of state to reach a salary level of $500 equivalent by the end of 2012. From May 1, the tariff rate of the first category will increase, and the growth of wages in the real sector will lead to an increase in pensions, benefits, and scholarships. "However, mechanical wage increases are unacceptable, this will return the situation of 2011," Vladimir Andreichenko emphasized. In his opinion, enterprises need to make wider use of the opportunities provided by Belarus's accession to the Single Economic Space. "Increasing exports, increasing production volumes, improving labor productivity and profitability, and technical modernization are the key to successful enterprise operation and income growth for their employees. Vladimir Andreichenko noted that the Glubokoye Dairy and Canning Plant is an example of an enterprise that has successfully overcome the negative processes of 2011. Despite some difficulties, the plant links its further development with technical modernization and export growth. The growth rate of production volumes in the first quarter was 170% compared to the same period last year. For two months of 2012, the profit from the sale of finished products amounted to Br5.3 billion, and the profitability of sold products exceeded 6%. This year, the enterprise intends to implement several investment projects, including the installation of a line for the production of sterilized milk in Tetra-Brik Aseptic packages and the reconstruction of its branch in Braslav. The plant exports over 40% of its products. -0-
