The State Grain Inspection of Belarus has completed the inspection of the readiness of grain products enterprises for receiving the new harvest

The State Grain Inspection of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus has completed the inspection of the readiness of grain products enterprises for receiving grain of the new harvest, the deputy head of the inspection, Elena Ananich, told a BELTA correspondent. Representatives of the veterinary service, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Promatomnadzor, as well as regional grain product organizations participated in the work of the state commissions. They paid special attention to the readiness of grain drying and cleaning equipment, weighing facilities, the operation of truck unloaders, the provision of laboratories with necessary equipment and chemical reagents, the organization of work of zonal dispatching centers and information points, grain placement plans, disinfection of storage facilities, labor protection and fire safety. Following the inspections, it was noted that the condition of the facilities meets the necessary requirements. 85 grain processing organizations will participate in the procurement, and all of them passed state acceptance by July 1. The grain processing plants of the Grodno, Minsk and Gomel regions have best prepared their elevators and grain reception points for receiving grain of the new harvest. The technical equipment of the organizations of the Department for Grain Products allows for the daily acceptance of 120 thousand tons of grain. The enterprises of the industry have the capacity to store over 2.5 million tons of grain simultaneously and dry up to 58 thousand tons per day. In the near future, daily grain supply schedules will be agreed upon in the regions. The state order for the supply of food grain this year is 1 million tons. The issue of renting additional facilities for drying and storing grain is being worked out. Contracts have already been concluded for receiving grain in the storage facilities of enterprises of other departmental affiliations with a capacity of 139 thousand tons. Work on concluding contracts is ongoing. A feature of this year's procurement campaign is that, in addition to food and feed grain, grain product organizations, by agreement with the enterprises of the Belgospischeprom concern, will centrally accept rapeseed and malting barley. In previous years, their supplies were not massive. 364 truck unloaders will be involved in internal transportation on the territory of elevators; they have been repaired and adjusted. 236 road and railway scales have been checked by metrology bodies. 119 separators will be used for receiving the 2009 harvest grain. Currently, specialists of the State Grain Inspection are checking the condition of the material and technical base of agricultural organizations that are part of grain product organizations, and also, together with the veterinary service, are conducting inspections on the preparation of all agricultural organizations of the republic for receiving grain of the new harvest. -0-
