State order for grain sales must be fulfilled to the maximum extent by August 10 - Ministry of Agriculture and Food
August 2, Minsk / Tatyana Lobas - BELTA /. The state order for grain sales must be fulfilled to the maximum extent by August 10. This task was set by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food to the heads of agricultural organizations, and the regional executive committees were asked to assist in accelerating the pace of grain delivery to procurement points and ensuring the fulfillment of the state order, the department for grain products of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food informed a BELTA correspondent.
So far, the achieved pace of grain delivery to the state does not satisfy the industry department. Currently, 466 thousand tons of new crop grain have been received for state republican needs, which is 47% of the plan. This includes 221.2 thousand tons of wheat (46%), 166.8 thousand tons of rye (56%), and 78 thousand tons of other crops (37.5%). In total, 990 thousand tons of grain must be accepted under the state order.
In terms of the pace of fulfilling the state order, farms in the Mogilev region are leading, having completed the plan by 64%. The Gomel region has fulfilled the state order by 57%, the Grodno region by 45%, the Brest region by slightly more than 40%, and the Vitebsk region by a third. The largest volume of grain under the state order must be supplied by farms in the Minsk, Grodno, and Brest regions - 225 thousand tons, 185 thousand tons, and 165 thousand tons, respectively. Nevertheless, this does not reduce the burden on other regions. The Mogilev region must deliver 150 thousand tons under the state order this year, the Gomel region - 140 thousand tons, and the Vitebsk region - 125 thousand tons.
As emphasized by the department, enterprises in the regions should not delay the pace of grain delivery to the state. Especially since farms in the southern regions plan to complete the harvesting of cereals by August 5-6, and in the northern and central regions - by August 10-12. -0-
