July 30, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. A weekly schedule for minimizing warehouse stocks has been developed by the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. This was announced today at a regular session of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies by the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Kosinets.

According to the results of the half-year, products worth more than Br650 billion accumulated in warehouses. The heads of the region's enterprises have been tasked with reducing the volume of stocks by Br300 billion within a month. In the opinion of the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, this is a real task, the implementation of which largely depends on personnel. As an example of successful work on the sale of warehouse stocks, Alexander Kosinets named the Vitebsk Meat and Dairy Industry Concern. Over the past 10 days, specialists have concluded contracts for the supply of products from warehouses worth Br30 billion.

To radically solve the problem of warehouse stocks, enterprises need to revise the range of manufactured products, modernize production, and create distribution networks, the governor emphasized. In particular, it is about ensuring that factories specializing in the production of components for Belarusian auto giants do not remain mere suppliers. "Enterprises need to establish the production of branded products," the head of the region noted. Vitebsk manufacturers are capable of solving the problem of intermediate imports. For example, Tiraspol PMK abandoned the use of 30% imported parts in the production of agricultural machinery, as it was able to produce them independently. "It is necessary to mobilize all personnel efforts to solve the problem of warehouse stocks," Alexander Kosinets emphasized. -0-
