A grand blueberry pie will be presented at the berry festival in Polotsk

A large friendship pie is planned to be baked in Polotsk as part of the traditional July festival celebrating the queen of forest berries, revered by our people since ancient times.

In the morning, participants of the eco-fest "Polotsk Blueberry-2015" will go to the forest to pick berries, and then return to the city for the celebration, which will take place on F. Skorina Avenue. Thematic areas of rural homesteads, performances by creative groups, and various entertainment will be organized here.

The main innovation, as noted by Elena Astapova, Deputy Head of the Department of Ideological Work, Culture and Youth Affairs of the District Executive Committee, will be the competition "Blueberry Friendship Pie" for catering organizations in the Polotsk region. The miracle of confectionery art will be composed of individual parts presented by the participants. A mandatory condition is the presence of a blueberry filling in the pie and original ideas in the team's assets. Masters of culinary arts will conduct a creative presentation and tasting of their creations. The jury will determine the winners and the owner of the honorary award "Golden Blueberry".
