Citizens of Belarus are allowed to have two passports simultaneously - a new one and an old one

February 26, Minsk /BelTA correspondent/. Belarusian citizens are allowed to have two passports at the same time - a new one and an old one. This was announced by the Deputy Head of the Citizenship and Migration Department of the Minsk City Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Main Directorate, Inna Studenichnik, during an online conference on the Belteлерадиокомпания website. "When a person gets a new passport, and the old one has a valid visa, or for any other reason the citizen needs to keep this passport, they write a personal application. And they are allowed to keep the old passport, regardless of the fact that they already have a new one, but the pages where there is no visa are annulled," the specialist explained. Information about visas previously issued and that can be kept in the old passport is particularly important when applying to some embassies.-0-
