Lightning strikes caused four fires in the Vitebsk region

Lightning strikes were the cause of four out of five fires that occurred on July 20 in the Vitebsk region, a correspondent was informed by the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The first fire, the presumed cause of which was a lightning strike, occurred around 5 a.m. in an uninhabited house in one of the villages of the Gorodok district. During the day, reports of similar incidents, but this time in residential rural houses, were received from Chashniki and Sharkovshchina districts. In the evening, in the Rossony district, a bathhouse caught fire from a lightning strike.

The fifth fire occurred in a residential house in the village of Zaronovo, Vitebsk district. The cause of the fire is being established.
