A large consignment of meat has been detained in the Verkhnedvinsk district, the information and public relations department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Department told a BELTA correspondent. On the Verkhnedvinsk-Sharkovshchina highway near Verkhnedvinsk, employees of the Miory and Verkhnedvinsk district police departments detained a Mercedes car driven by an unemployed resident of the urban settlement of Sharkovshchina, born in 1984, who was transporting 4.1 tons of beef without proper documents. The cost of the cargo is Br186.5 million. The vehicle and the cargo have been detained. An investigation is underway.
