"
I am fully aware of the responsibility that is placed upon me, – Sergey Egorov addressed the attendees. – Tolochin District has prospects and potential that need to be utilized to the fullest. The situation we are all in now is difficult, but not critical. I am confident that the region's active workforce will make every effort to develop agriculture, ensure efficient industrial operation, and increase export potential. And it is indeed great. We also have personnel who can and should work to achieve the desired results. I will rely on the professionalism and experience of the people who will become my team. In addition, the key to successful management is labor and technological discipline. I will do everything possible to ensure that Tolochin District develops dynamically in all directions and that people's well-being improves.».Sergey Egorov was unanimously approved for the position of Chairman of the Tolochin District Executive Committee. Nikolay Sherstnev congratulated the new head of the district and presented him with a certificate.
«
The role of an individual in the formation history of any region is very significant, – noted Nikolay Nikolayevich. – When one has to lead a team in rather difficult conditions, all human qualities are revealed. When Alexey Silvestrovich Gornak took office, the district was in a difficult situation. And he managed to do a lot to ensure that the Tolochin region achieved certain successes. He strove to create value-generating production, consolidate funds, centralize flows, and ensure the purchase of more productive equipment. It is important that Alexey Silvestrovich preserved a team of like-minded people with whom it is possible to work and build for tomorrow.»For many years of diligent work in public administration bodies, and for a significant personal contribution to the socio-economic development of Tolochin District, Alexey Gornak was awarded a Certificate of Honor of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.
Concluding his speech, Nikolay Sherstnev addressed the attendees and the newly appointed head of the Tolochin District Executive Committee:
"What do we live and work for? First and foremost, to have well-being in our families. We complain that our lives are extremely difficult. The head of state aptly said about this: we have never lived better than we do now. And I fully agree with him. Today, our store shelves are full, we are shod and clothed. Most of us have comfortable housing, household appliances, and many have cars, etc. There are no coupons or queues in stores for food and clothing now. But, if you think about it, this was not so long ago. Having much more than then, we want to live as we please and have everything we wish for. But we work worse. There is no spark that people used to work with, with minimal conditions. We have countless reserves today. We live here, earn wages, and raise children. So who should improve the situation, if not us? Therefore, I am directing the initiative to increase all indicators by at least 2 times. This cannot be done all at once, but we must strive for it daily, hourly. We do not have time to build some long-term program. You come today, figure things out tomorrow, and get results the day after. Special attention should be paid to the development of agriculture and attracting investment. The head must set priorities and work. Do not scatter money, but invest selectively in those enterprises where there will be a return. We have huge internal reserves in labor and technological discipline, as Sergey Egorov rightly said. And I have no doubt that the Tolochin district will have something to be proud of in the future. Success, confidence in the future, and optimism!"Olga Lebedeva, "Vitebskiye Vesti"
