And again about ICE!
Ø не выходите на лед при плохой видимости, когда темно, идет снег или дождь, иначе вы не сможете вовремя увидеть полынью или майну;
Ø при переходе через реку лучше передвигаться по натоптанным тропинкам или лыжне, в таких местах проход гораздо безопаснее;
Ø при групповом переходе водоема необходимо соблюдать безопасное расстояние друг от друга (5–6 м);
Ø при переходе водоема на лыжах обязательно расстегните крепление и снимите петли лыжных палок с рук;
Ø при переходе водоема рюкзак должен висеть на одном плече, что позволит быстро его скинуть в случае, если вы провалитесь;
Ø прочность льда лучше всегда проверить пешней, но, ни в коем случае не ударом ноги, так как этим можно спровоцировать пролом льда;
Ø воздержитесь от перехода водоема в состоянии алкогольного опьянения, так как алкоголь притупляет реакцию и придает излишнюю самоуверенность.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations warns – thin ice can be extremely dangerous. The body of a person who has fallen through the ice finds itself in a stressful situation and, as a result, due to sudden cold, the muscles of the chest and abdomen contract, causing exhalation, and then inhalation.
This involuntary respiratory act is especially dangerous if the head is underwater, and the person chokes. When falling into cold water, heart activity intensifies, and blood pressure rises. The maximum time an average person can stay in water at a temperature of +2º, +3ºС is no more than 15 minutes.
When rescuing a person who has fallen through the ice, it is necessary to remember that you need to crawl, not walk to the hole. Never approach the very edge of the hole; use poles, belts, clothing, anything the person can grab onto for rescue.
RULES OF CONDUCT ON ICE:
Ø do not go out on the ice in poor visibility, when it is dark, snowing or raining, otherwise you will not be able to see the hole or ice opening in time;
Ø when crossing a river, it is better to move along beaten paths or ski tracks; passage in such places is much safer;
Ø when crossing a body of water in a group, maintain a safe distance from each other (5–6 m);
Ø when crossing a body of water on skis, be sure to unfasten your bindings and remove the ski pole straps from your hands;
Ø when crossing a body of water, the backpack should be worn on one shoulder, which will allow you to quickly take it off if you fall through;
Ø it is best to always check the ice strength with an ice pick, but never with your foot, as this can provoke the ice to break;
Ø refrain from crossing a body of water while intoxicated, as alcohol dulls reaction time and gives excessive self-confidence.
Potential victims – amateurs
ice fishing. Besides fishermen, children most often drown. According to statistics, a third of the victims are intoxicated. However, no one is 100% insured against extreme swimming, so you should follow simple rules of safety:Ø remember that ice at least 7 cm thick is considered relatively safe. It is green or bluish-green in color. Dirty, brownish-gray ice is usually already thawed and unstable. By the way, at a temperature of 0°C, which lasts for three days, the strength of the ice decreases by 25%;
ice is considered unstable near the mouths of rivers and tributaries, near springs and effluents, as well as trees, bushes, and reeds.
