Igor Sergeenko and Nikolai Sherstnev were acquainted with the progress of the "Village of the Future" project in Mazolovo, Vitebsk region
As part of a working trip around the region, the Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Belarus, Igor Sergeenko, visited the agro-town of Mazolovo in the Vitebsk region of the Vitebsk oblast. There, he familiarized himself with the work of the local agricultural enterprise "MazolovoGaz" of UP "Vitebskoblgaz" and the progress of the "Village of the Future" project. Together with him, the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, and the Aide to the President – Inspector for the Vitebsk Region, Anatoly Linevich, arrived at one of the most successful enterprises of the agro-industrial complex in the northern region.
The General Director of UP "Vitebskoblgaz", Petr Shershen, during the tour, particularly noted the creation of a complete production cycle, one of the key links of which is the laboratory quality control of products, including during the procurement of nutritious feed, which ultimately allows for maximum productivity of the dairy herd. To increase the economic efficiency of the enterprise and expand production volumes, its own compound feed and oilseed processing plants have been built here. The high-ranking guests visited all the sites of SHP "MazolovoGaz", which can rightfully be considered exemplary examples of domestic agribusiness.
The success of local farmers is achieved through the implementation of advanced technologies and close cooperation with the Vitebsk Academy of Veterinary Medicine and the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy. For example, together with scientists, 12 feed rations have been developed, taking into account the needs of specific groups of livestock. An important vector of interaction with the Vitebsk agrarian university is the educational and practical center for milk production in the village of Kalinovo. Here, all conditions have been created for the integration of science into agricultural production and the practical training of students. Future specialists must be able to work with high-tech equipment, which is also determined by the current personnel policy in the agricultural sector, Anatoly Linevich emphasized.
– The Head of State has given instructions on the creation of a breeding farm in each region. Using "Mazolovogaz" as an example, we see that the Vitebsk region has gone further in this regard. Not only a breeding enterprise has been created, but also a Village of the Future. All necessary conditions, both for production and for rural life, have been thought out. Today, the enterprise is making a good profit, and employees have decent wages. All this is the basis if we want young people to stay in the countryside, – Anatoly Konstantinovich summed up.
In turn, the head of the region, Nikolai Sherstnev, added that in the creation of the Village of the Future, an important condition, in addition to jobs, is social infrastructure. For example, for the employees of "Mazolovogaz" and their families, there are 60 apartments in the agro-town, a health and beauty center, a cafeteria, and a sports ground have been built. The enterprise pays no less attention to attracting personnel to the countryside and retaining young specialists than to production development.
